Overall Takeaway
Improving OLEDs depends not only on making bright molecules, but also on controlling how excitation energy moves between molecules and interfaces. C-shaped near-infrared dyes use interfacial energy transfer to enhance emission around 1000 nm. Two-state resonance emitters provide narrow and clean deep-red light. Imidazole-based wide-bandgap materials offer both deep-blue emission and host capability for phosphorescent OLEDs. Together, these studies point toward OLEDs that are brighter, more color-pure, and more energy-efficient.
